Music
Music at Bay Primary School!
Our Music Co-ordinator is Mrs H Wright.
From September 2023 we will be using 'Get Set 4 Music' to support our music teaching across the school. Previously, we have used Charanga Music School and enjoyed using YuMu to compose our own musical patterns. Pupils can us their own log-on for this at home to investigate musical structures.
In February 2023 we had a visit from The Benedetti Foundation who worked with the pupils in key stage 2 on percussion and rhythmic patterns.
In the Spring term we worked with Remarkable Arts to learn songs with British Sign Language inspired actions to perform with a live band for our parents, carers and local community at Christ Church, Bridlington.
We enjoy singing practice each week in which we learn about musical features and discuss the music for the week. We also use the BBC 10 Pieces, to learn more about a variety of composers from different periods in time and a range of musical instruments.
