PE & Games

Outdoor PE for the first half of the Summer Term is on a Monday afternoon. Children should have appropriate outdoor footwear (trainers), joggers, full length leggings or tracksuit trousers and a jumper, hoodie or sweatshirt. As the weather improves, children may wear shorts. They must also arrive to school wearing their outdoor PE kit.

Indoor PE for the first half of the Summer Term is on a Friday afternoon. Children should have navy blue shorts and a yellow round-neck t shirt. Full length trousers, joggers and leggings are not appropriate for indoor PE sessions.

No football tops are to be worn during any of the outdoor or indoor PE lessons.

PLEASE NOTE: Jewellery should not be worn on the days of PE. Children will be expected to remove it themselves and be responsible for the looking after their own. If jewellery cannot be removed, children should bring tape into school to cover piercings.

Home Reading

It is expected that every child reads at least 3 times a week, preferably more! In Year Four children can read independently. The reading record must always be signed by an adult. Children can change their book daily. Every Friday every child must bring their reading record and book to school to count their reads for our classroom reading display. Children receive house points when they have achieved 3 or more reads and when they reach 100 reads they will be mentioned on the whole school reading celebration display.
