Please use the link below for Bay Primary School latest Ofsted Reoprt.

It is with great pleasure that I can now inform you of the results of our recent Ofsted Inspection which took place on 13th and 14th September 2023.

The team of inspectors that visited Bay Primary School carried out their thorough, robust and rigorous inspection over the two days, which included deep dives into various subjects, lesson visits, discussions with staff and pupils, meetings with school leadership team and scrutiny of work undertaken by pupils. They also met with members of the governing body, Mrs Harrison our School Improvement Partner from the local authority, spoke with parents and carers, and reviewed documentation provided by the school. More of what inspectors looked at can be found within the official report.

The inspectors concluded that Bay Primary School is GOOD in all areas.

Quality of Education

Behaviour and Attitudes

Personal Development

Leadership and Management

Early Years Provision

resulting in an Overall Effectiveness of GOOD for the School.

We are delighted with this judgement and consider this a great achievement for Bay Primary School. I would like to thank all the staff, pupils, parents and carers and governors of the school for their sustained dedication and support in driving Bay Primary School forward.

The full report can be found below and will also be available on the Ofsted  website www.reports.ofsted.gov.uk. If you would like a paper copy of the report please contact the school office to request one.

Ofsted reports are now significantly shorter than they have been previously, however the Senior Leadership Team and governors have received extensive feedback which we will be celebrating in school; including the strengths of our curriculum offer, Early Reading and mathematics. However, it is an evaluation of the school and there are some areas highlighted for improvement which we are already aware of and are developing further. Please be aware that attendance at school has been noted as an area for development and I cannot emphasise enough how important it is for all our pupils to be in school, on time everyday so that they can make the most of every learning opportunity and embed the knowledge and understanding that is vital for every pupil to succeed.

Should you have any queries or concerns, we would urge you to contact the school office who will be able to direct you to the relevant person to discuss any matters further.

Thank you once again for your continued support.
